You may have heard about Tony’s Southern Fried Chicken from Texas Monthly or Rob Balon or one of the many highly respected Austin food bloggers.  You may have heard that this chicken is THE classic Southern Fried Bone-In Chicken, so good it could make you elbow your grandma out of a church supper buffet line. So good we have to treat like a controlled substance. Offered only on Mondays and Tuesdays so we have time to put in the LOVE.

If so, you heard right.

The secrets to perfect fried chicken lie in the meat preparation, the breading, and in clean, high quality oil held at the ideal temperature throughout the vat.  It takes special attention and time.  That’s why we offer this dish only on Monday & Tuesday nights, which are typically less crowded than the weekends, at a time when we can give this chicken the care it deserves.   But be aware:  this chicken’s so good, we’ve been known do land office business on Mondays & Tuesdays, so come on in early before we run out!
