8/4 Art Party for Felice House & Dana Younger

We have two new artists coming to Hyde Park Duval to show us their skills.  Meet  Felice House and Dana Younger.  Two amazing artists with extraordinary talent.

Felice fell in love with color and representation as a high school student in the woods of British Columbia.  She then traveled to Canada for shows. She ended her time in Canada with a solo show entitled “PUTTING IT ON…and taking it off”. In this show she used painting, printmaking and installation to exaggerate classical ideas of femininity to the point of comedy. Each piece provided an in-depth look at the way that society molds females’ expectations of themselves.  Felice started Housepaintings Studio, an artists’ space in downtown Bryan, Texas.   Through the studio Felice began to teach weekly drawing and painting classes as well as weekend workshops.

Dana Younger, VP of Blue Genie Art, is truly a man for all seasons.
Besides being a painter, sculptor, mold maker, and computer artist, Dana is one of the chief innovators at Blue Genie Art.  His fascination with the creative process and all types of materials keeps Blue Genie Art on the cutting edge.  Essentially, he is a one man research and development team.  However his art is what makes him memorable.  His talents include oil paintings, digital art, encaustics and acrylic paintings. There are a variety of styles: figurative work, abstract expressionism digital art and landscapes.  Whatever he creates is sure to be beautiful, deep and unique.

This is great work. I will come see it. I would love to hear more of the “fascination with creative process” I work with pastel and soft slivers of wood.

Hi, I appreciate your updates, I can’t wait to come back. I lost track of my bookmarks and could not wait to find it again. Had to look through my web history…forever’ish. I got so excited I couldn’t stop myself from posting.
